Sunday began with a visit to the palazzo where I painted for over a year.

 

Then it was in to Cassino, spending quite some time in the abbey.  

 

 

 

Take a look at the bottom right hand corner of the large fresco. The artist who painted himself into a corner is always my delight. 

A contemplative visit to the Commonwealth Cemetery closed the day. 

Today I am grateful for air conditioned cars.
